March 2010
As we move into March and, hopefully, the better weather, we would ask for you to pray for:
- those are currently sleeping in our Winter Project, that they may have other places to move on to when it closes at the end of the month;
- residents who have recently moved into their own accommodation, that they may be able to sustain independent living;
- a young resident whose father in the advanced stages of cancer, that the family will be drawn closer together and that he will be able to support his parents and sisters at this time;
- service users whose medicine is proving less effective than it once was, that the doctors and consultants treating them may find the right treatment to prescribe;
- Trevor, who is off work with a broken toe, that it may quickly heal;
- Jacqui, as she takes up the role of Support Manager for an initial six-month period;
- everyone helping to arrange activities for our service users, that the activities they provide may be a real aid to those who take advantage of them and those who organise them may also find them a source of encouragement;
- the reintroduction of the requirement that all residents participate in at least ten hours of meaningful activities each week, that it may go smoothly and help those involved to extend their social networks and their understanding of themselves; and
- our trustees as they look for future premises.
Pray with us
Prayers are offered at the Day Centre every Monday morning at about 10.30 am and at the Night Shelter most Tuesday evenings shortly after 9 pm. Please remember us if you pray at these times. You are also very welcome to join us if you are ever in the vicinity of the Day Centre or the Night Shelter at the appropriate time.
